H:YS

Just for fun, I thought I’d add some pictures that Sho and I did for Hogwarts: Your Story.

We created some Wand Dueling poses upon hearing about the opening of H:YS. And we had some fun doing the pics on one of the quiet preview nights prior to the fair opening.

I couldn’t decide on Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, so I tossed a coin. Just kidding, I wanted to do Gryffindor and decided it’d be more interesting choosing a character that would force me to think about my roleplay.

No information given on my character here. I have a very short blurb in my picks. But even that won’t tell you much, as I much prefer for people to find out about my character ICly.

I have to say, I’m extremely excited about H:YS opening up. Check out their current website here: Hogwarts: Your Story. Sho and I have both looked for Harry Potter RP sims, but couldn’t find one that would fit. Well…actually, I can’t speak for him, but at least for myself, that I couldn’t find one that fit what I like in a RP sim.

With all the talk going on in-world within the H:YS group and the OOC Group chat, I’m itching to get started RPing. It’s been well over a year since I’ve RP’d and it’s quite a different feel. Going from an “adult/mature” RP sim to a “PG” sim, and an open ended verse to one based off a well known and well loved book and movie series. From talking with the H:YS staff, they sound like they’ve got some awesome plot developments in store for us.

It’s gaining a lot of popularity, but after a month or two (or three), there will be a better idea of who will stick it out regularly. I encourage everyone to try it out if you’re a huge HP fan. No RP experience is needed. They’ll be holding classes for people who want to learn. There’s a plethora of information on the web already about RPing (although RPing in-world is different from forum RPing if you’re familiar with that. Though the transition won’t be hard). It’s funny finding different characters. And by characters, I mean personalities. I made a statement rather straight forwardly and was accused of trolling. Oh god, if only they knew what I am capable of when I’m trolling

Either way, if you’re remotely interested…check it out. You got nothing to lose. There are more good people than asshats.

#6 Endless Summer Nights

Today’s tunes is in “celebration” of the end of my summer. It comes and passes a bit too fast.  Although, the weather is still lovely here in California. I’m in and out on old 80s ballads. Cute song. Richard Marx wrote it after the summer he spent with a special lady. Guess the song won her heart in the end I’m pretty sure I blogged for location rather than what I’m wearing. #5 Island in the Sun

The days of summer are winding down, and I wish they’d stay just a while longer. On the plus side, I’m getting lots of rest and having fun in RL while catching up on PSing, posemaking, and (of course) shopping in SL.

A friend pointed me into the direction of Fashionably Late. Another collection of some of SL’s finest designers. Not 20 minutes later I received a notecard advertising this dress. I had to have it. The colors are vivid and fun. You don’t need much to add to your wardrobe, perhaps a simple necklace and some hot shoes.

I mix and matched the outfits, and rather than using the complete outfit by justB, I used the skirt and a white bodysuit. There are tons of possibilities with the different hunt items. It’s running until August 31, so take your time and enjoy it.

I had to blog this cute skin from House of London.  Ohna told me about the amazing deal that London put out on these Olivia skins. I’m extremely picky with my skin, as my shape doesn’t always look good in some brands. I was happily surprised when my look didn’t change much with this skin. I also adore the freckles. This particular makeup (Olivia #001 Limited Edition) came out the other day. More makeups and a full version will be released on 8.19.11.

#1 Dog Days Are Over

First blog after a long hiatus!

It’s been a long and crazy year since I’ve last blogged. Great things ahead. I’ve gotten through some pretty hard times and the future is looking good.
